Hello from the Lone Star State

Just got a coolster 125cc ATV. Not sure the model yet. Not much time to look at it so far.The boss bought it a few weeks ago. It is used (less than a year) and after not being able to start it, came by my house yesterday, dumped it off and said "it's yours - get it running". Everything looks good. Turns over but doesn't start. Tube on the gas filler cap is gone, so I'm thinking a little water got down in the tank. I'll drain everything, pull the carb and give it a cleaning, look for mudwasp nests in inconvenient places (found one plugging the exhaust already) and go from there. I look forward to communicating with you folks as I get to playing with the new toy.

Welcome!

CDI? Those often go out on Chinese bikes. Battery and/or spark plug are the two areas I would start with--hopefully it is as simple as a plug because of the low cost and ease to fix it. Then check wiring, and then carb would be my suggestion (I am not an expert NOR play one on tv)

It could be one (or more) of so many things. Texas50, I recommend that you start a new thread in the relative section, where it will get more attention. The community here will help you sort it out.
