2009 Nissan Sentra

I picked this thing up about 11 days ago. It had been essentially left for dead in the backyard of a friend of my mom for 8 years. So far i am less then $850 into it including purchase price.

$300 for the car
$140 for new battery
$82 for plates
$35 for new wiper blades and brake light bulbs
$75 for replacement passenger door and mirror
$125 for transport of said door
$25 in cleaning supplies
$25 spent at car wash

Total as of today: $807

Specs:

2009 Nissan Sentra base model

MR20 2.0 L DOHC 4 cyl
CVT transmission
245K on it at time of pick up but am a bit over 246K now

As it was found in the back yard

So this car has been off the road for over a month due to what was thought to have been a dead fuel pump. Turns out it was both a pump and MAF sensor. I also painted and installed a new fuel door this week as well. Will get some pics later today or tomorrow.

so the running total looks like this.

$300 for the car
$140 for new battery
$82 for plates
$35 for new wiper blades and brake light bulbs
$75 for replacement passenger door and mirror
$125 for transport of said door
$25 in cleaning supplies
$25 spent at car wash
$89 for fuel pump
$22 for Maf

Total as of today: $921

The drill walked on me a bit on the drivers side so i gotta go back and remove some marks from that. Other then that they turned out well enough to upgrade with some LED bulbs to further increase performance.
