1990 HONDA XR80R Dang close to being done :)

I always seem to get myself a turd, And try to polish it Mythbusters did it why can't I?
So my nephew has this old Honda and He trashes it on a dialy basis :? , He just got a new honda xr100r and this poor old bike has been the battering ram for him instead of the new one . I felt sorry for it and it runs good so I snagged it and tossed it in the back of my truck. My daughter and I started to tear into the poor ol gal today

I don't think it's ever been washed 8O

How do You like that well maintained chain??? :?

Looks a little off don't it???...But it actually not

SHe started to tear off the fenders, I worked on the harder stuff.

See told ya it was still straight

IT NAKED......Close Your eyes

You can tell it has seen better days :(

OK short list so far, New levers,
New foot pegs,
New front and rear fenders,
New seat cover I can fix the foam,
New grips,
New twist throttle,
New Kill switch
New tires,
New rear brakes... Might even need an entire rim and hub..Fronts were never used due to broken lever  ,
New coil wire,
New front number plate,
Maybe a new carb...Choke flops around,
New air filter, Another reason AImight need a new carb  KIDS!
New oil,
New plug, New chain maybe...It's only an 80.
Gas tank is going to be fun But I bet I can make it look newer...To expensive for a new one.
And New fork boots.....And umm who know what else
So if anyone has any of this stuff LET ME KNOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!
I think I am going to need all the help I can get
My goal is to get done before Teamcheap  ...The race is on!!

Looks like a fun project but needs a lot of work but maybe not as much as my S90.

Looks like I will have to hook AZ200 up with parts now. Probably only be one box though.

Its going to look good. I put some parts pics in the for sale section. Let me know if you see anything in there.

I haven't been over to see what my friend is going to use from those bikes I gave him. The bike you have looks better. 8O

You may want to contact red85. The carb from his blown lifan 100 may be a direct fit.

Thanks again Kato

I think those pegs will work for me.....Not sure. The carb looks wrong :?
Does that kill switch have a starter button or is that a quick kill button? If no starter button it will work for me. As soon as You can find out what is left on those bike or maybe get a snapshot lemme know.....Only some small little things are holding me up right now.....My dang truck is acting up so I cannot get it to the car wash or else the frame and motor would be painted also :x....Oh yah how long is that rear shock...The stock one only has an inch of travel 8O I think it's froze up
