I remember making a right turn on my Harley and it was raining a little. The front tire hit a manhole cover and pushed through the entire thing. I thought I was going down for sure, put my right foot down and was able to manhandle it back upright.

That was a short bridge indeed. The front pushed at the moment shown in the picture. I didn't put my foot out but shifted my weight left and forward a little but the front end had already regained full traction anyway. But it was a pucker moment.
