I should also add that I removed the float from the tank and plugged it in to the bike. I cycled the float from top to bottom with no change in fuel level or "low fuel " warning on the cluster.

95, Glad you're keeping the bike. Once you get the kinks worked out you will know your bike inside and out (quite literally!). On the float issue, how long did you let it sit at each position? The float and gauge usually take a few seconds to a few minutes to update. You won't go through fuel at a rate as fast as you can move the float by hand, so it probably isn't programmed to recognize fast changes. That keeps the display from giving you false readings as the fuel sloshes around in the tank. I would say try it again, but very slowly, and see if the result is any different. Keep us posted on your progress.

Very interesting. I hadn't thought about that but it makes sense. I'll go give it a shot

Changed the oil today. No plastic bits to be found. Also installed some hadn gaurds I got. They sent me the wrong color so they need paint, but they'll look good soon

Yeah I ordered them from a link on www.hawk250.com . You have to chop the end of the levers off (they hit the guard). The part that goes into the handle bars and spreads out is too small to grab the bar so o have to figure something out about that

So I had a buyer lined up, he ended up falling through last minute. Anyways, I decided (before that happened), I'd better make it function as good as possible so I went up to RPS in Carrolton, TX and paid $75 for a stator (that someone I know bought for $50 shipped to NY from the same guys ). But, nonetheless, I have a bike that charges the battery as I ride it now. No more going dead while riding it around at night lol

Can you see why it stopped working?

How about now

Got the hand guards painted.

Also added another bungee cord. The green one doesn't hold it up when practicing wheelies so a couple times I thought something was wrong with the bike when it was just the kickstand scrapping the ground lol!And yes, I will get an actual kickstand spring eventually

Do you intend to resolder and keep it as a spare?

I missed the reason why you sold it. Was it a flip thing?
