Kind of an update of sorts. Currently trying to track down an odd buzzy noise I get from my front end that only shows itself after braking and/or compressing the front end, and only makes the noise when starting to roll, not with engine RPM. It almost sounds like a plastic gear grinding, which is odd.

I am going to investigate this issue while also looking into investigating the mild head shake that I am starting to get past 45mph. It's VERY slight, but I don't like to leave things to chance. Initially I thought it was the front tire, but after changing to the 705's it's still there.

I have a feeling the stem nut may have worked its way loose, so I am going to go ahead and take my front end apart just to be safe. I might take the time to go ahead and swap out to the taper bearings.

Can't recall; do you still have a cable speedometer? If so, I recommend disconnecting the speedometer cable from the wheel to see if the noise stops.

The tach cluster replaces the entire speedometer drive and cable system. The speedo drive on the wheel is replaced with a hall sensor unit.

I haven't been able to find it, but I have noticed that I can make the sound stop with light brake pressure. I think my next task will be to take the caliper apart and see if maybe one of my pads isn't returning all the way/getting stuck, and vibrating. It's odd to me that it only happens with suspension compression, but I have seen weirder things before... The caliper bolts are all tight, so either I knocked one of the pads out of alignment or possibly damaged one with the rotor when I put the wheel back on.

One other thought, look for broken weld points since they can develop a buzz sound on and off just like a switch depending on the angle of the bike etc.

I had actually thought of this and looked at the frame welds, but I saw nothing. Plus it's interesting that the sound literally started after swapping on new tires. There was no gap. Plus, it almost sounds like a plastic rubbing sound. I am sure it's something simple/stupid. I just have to find it.

Finally tracked it down. I had to ride around in a parking lot without my helmet on to pinpoint it, and also learn that it was unrelated to suspension compression. My schuberth is so quiet that I simply didn't hear it until it got loud enough.

Anyway, it was one of the brake pads getting partially stuck in place and chattering.

I took the caliper apart, cleaned and lubed everything that needed it, and deglazed the pads. Bled the system and went for a ride voila, no more buzz. My front brakes also feel a lot stronger on the initial bite than before, so likely this was a problem slowly in the making. I never bothered with the calipers during assembly...figures lol. I will do the rear this weekend just to be safe.

See, if you would have bought from a reputable dealer all these things would have been professionally taken care of be fore you received the bike ( yea right)
