i figure the level of precision used in working on them is only needed to be equal to the precision used in manufacturing them.....LOL

It's probably 223 or 230, but a very good engine. Regular oil changes are very important, since there are no cam bearings, just like a Honda.

That serial number indicates a 69mm bore, but it could be wrong. Measuring is the best way.

Pic of the old piston this is horrible.

I can confirm its a 65mm piston...
Did you thnk the 67mm will fit ?? or the sleeve must be bored?

Ugh. That piston looks nasty!

To respond to your question, the cylinder and piston will be very close to each other (if everything is correct). For example, an XR200 will have a 63.42mm piston and 63.60mm cylinder, if everything is well worn. A new engine is much tighter. If you intend to bore out an engine and use a new piston, usually 0.5mm is removed.

This is the piston i ordered.

The piston looks awful, but how does the cylinder look? Does it have scratches that you can feel with a fingernail? What is the measurement at the top, middle and bottom? If it is not more than .25mm bigger than the piston, it will work.

If the measurements are ok, you can hone the cylinder with a brake cylinder hone from the auto parts store and install the piston you bought. If the cylinder is no good, just buy a new one that matches the 67mm piston. It will probably be cheaper than paying somebody to bore the existing cylinder.

Yep... The sleeve as a little chunck of piston at the very bottom point. But it think a can remove it.

And if i buy a new cylinder the one that humanbeing show me will be correct?
