2019 TBR7 Tire and tube recommendations?

Anyone have any recommendations for street tires for the TBR7?

I don't care one bit for off road capability as I keep this thing on the road.
I ride it rain or shine and was wondering if someone could recommend a good performing tire for all weather on the street. (I switch to the standard stock tires when it snows as they do great on it)

Even though I ride mostly on the road too I still prefer a dual-sport tread since the bike has dual-sport styling.

Shinko 244, IRC GP1, or Kenda 270 are the type I use. They handle well, last a good while, and are inexpensive. They also have relatively soft sidewalls which makes them easy to mount.

If you want a sportier-looking tread the above brands offer them too. Shinko is usually the least expensive and IRC is usually the most expensive. IRC was a Japanese brand, but I think my last one was made in Taiwan.

I rarely replace my tubes. I just buy whichever is cheapest to keep around for a spare. Tubes are easy to patch.

I just want a straight street tire. I don't care about looks, I care about max grip on the road, as I use this as my daily driver in the city. I takes me 10 minutes to mount an inertube tire so it doesn't bother to to swap them if I was to want to go off road, but I drive in the rain, snow, whatever here in Ohio.

Here's a front that would fit.

Good to know about street tires for the X-Pect since, if I do get one, that would be my riding preference/style.

This one is a little narrower than the stock rear but same as front and would fit.

As mentioned, these would fit on X-Pect rims too.

Just keep in mind that going wider or narrower with the same aspect ratio will mean the overall diameter will change, and this can affect the overall gearing with the rear sprocket. That 90/90-17 rear tire is almost 4.5 inches smaller in circumference to a 110/90-17. In order to maintain the same final drive you would need to run a sprocket with 3 less teeth on it (428 chain).

Good point Megadan! Swapping the tires would be a good time to go up on the front sprocket or down on the rear to get what you need.

Tires for these sizes are hard to find. There may be other sources to include China. I like the tread pattern on this one but it is 27 mm shorter than the stock tire so advice above about final gearing has to be considered. Fun to consider how the X-Pect might look and handle on the street with such tires.
