Good question about the epoxy . Really I have no experience with it at all. just have seen many sine waves on cars over the years . I talked to My sales guy in china ,he said they machine off the old tab and gas weld a new tab on. appears the magnet is mounted inside the outer flywheel housing. I am thinking a couple mig tacks on each side should do it

.
