I sold my soul...

Seems like I will be moving to So. California in the next few weeks! Limited options for bikes, but I am hoping my wife and kids staying in Yuma for several months will allow me to purchase a Hawk, and hopefully a Brozz, register them, and 'import' them in several months. Other than that, it's CSC, SSR XF250, and/or Lifan KP200 for me. I will cry myself riding one of those to the bank...

Com on man, you gotta have transportation?? Get an 2018 rx3 around $4200 or so, and put it on installments, you will have it paid for in no time. Perfect for the road system in so cal with mandentory storage for those laptops and papers and such.
I can't think of a more economical mode of transportation for a hard working person to have.

Get a nice new mesh riding jacket for those hot streets too. HELL, I think I'm more excited about the job and bike prospects than you, sign me up

kOOL! I lived in the OC for about five years back in the eighties.
I can see why you are wanting a Hawk. Its a bit expensive to live in SoCal.
You can lane split in the Golden State too.

Congrats! That means the new job worked out. As a Hawk owner, I can tell you that they're great bikes to have and all, but I find myself on something of a CSC kick lately. I don't know if it's because I moved out here and now I'm closer to the company, or if it's because I've been watching with nothing short of amazement at the way that company has been growing, and still has been able to hold onto their legendary customer service. In any event, happy to hear that you have a new bike in your future, and congrats again on landing the new job.

Sold your soul and all you got was to 'filter/lane split' legally

I was a little too young, but the 80's were the prime years to live in OC!

Thank you! I will probably take a serious look at the RX3 but I will also look into the Lifan KP200 (couldn't hurt to have TWO cool Chinabikes in the fold. As far as a third (fantasizing/stretching it here), the Lifan X-Pect 200 when it becomes available. I like how that bike will come from the factory, like its hearty GY-5 200 that numerous members owned here several years ago. If it does not get the CARB nod, I will look into the TT250.

I guess even a Chinabike can take advantage of that during the heaviest of traffic!!

After a few days in SoCal, I don't think you will miss that Yuma humidity very much.
-When I lived in the Phoenix area, I was shocked at the amount of humidity in Yuma. I couldn't wait to get home to Phoenix to cool off.
-When working outside in Yuma during the summer, we would pour table salt into our hand and lick it to attempt to stay hydrated.
Good ole days.
