Hey from Down under

New here but have had my Zongshen 200gy since its release pulled it apart today to clean and repair it after not riding for 3 years.

Anyone know where to get spare parts from?

Welcome! I've also ordered Zong parts through Taobao. It's a smooth and inexpensive process, but it takes about a month.

What muffler is that? It looks like a good fit.

Welcome, Alex. We are glad you joined us.

Indeed, I suggest you sign up with the TaobaoTrends.com agent, and order your parts from the Taobao.com website. You can find several threads regarding this process posted in the Dual Sport Forum.

That is the stock muffler provided with the Zongs sold in China, and the ones exported to Australia.

Thanks so much for the advice guys! taobao is so cheap i hope shipping inst too bad, the CNY to AUD is ridiculously good so i think i will do my best at stocking up!

the muffler is stock, my oldman and i bought 2 back in 06 then he found a 3rd for i think $800 so one for road and the other trail, this puppy has been off road all its life until recently i decided to pull it back into shape and get it working again after 3-4 years. (after some one had come off bad and snapped their arm)
this bike does not stop!!!! this bike has been able to keep up with all the Jap bikes.
so its only fitting i start riding it to work

Been reading as much as i can on every ones projects and goals with their bikes and have decided to go with spuds exhaust option as well, 2am XT225 exhaust header purchase and now i just need the FMF Turbinecore 2 but im not sure exactly which option to get? Spud can you shed some light on which option will work?
would love to be heard on the road...

very keen to post more photos and share our bikes with you all, and hope to see more zongs from you guys

You might enjoy perusing the threads in my Zongshen ZS200GY-2 sticky, posted at the top of our Dual Sport Forum.

I recommend the FMF Universal Spark Arrestor; it works great and is the least expensive. You should be able to find a used, Yamaha, XT225 exhaust header on eBay.

The FMF Universal Spark Arrestor is the easiest to fit, works superbly, and costs the least. The 2-stroke packing will last a long time. After the packing blows away, repack the silencer with 4-stroke packing.
