Since I'm not getting any nibbles here and the dealer does not want the Xpect as a trade-in, I will probably go CL. But I may also just keep it for now as I save up cash for the KPX, to buy in the fall. Curious to see how I like it with the 15/42 sprockets.

Oh noooo..!! CL? Those damn tire kickers will drive you nuts. lol The problem with selling bikes on CL is that most of the people looking for bikes are young kids with no job or money.

Check out Facebook marketplace as well.. i sold a bike on there and its free. It's the only reason i'd ever use facebook though, but it served its purpose well.

Yes. FB Market place is much better than CL. I'm not even a FB fan but great for buying and selling.

Good point, especially at this price point.

Not on FB, no fan either. Might consider it though, just for this reason.

I want to see how the 15T sprocket works out with the 42. If I decide that is the sweet spot, and gives me enough power to do occasional short hwy travel well enough, I might just keep it.

It's the old high school problem of do you keep dating the nice but unexciting girl you have been friends with for years, or make a play for the hot new blonde who just transferred to your school?

I told you I wasn't mature.....

TominMO, I have a 17_43 on mine and although it suits me for riding around my back roads cruising on highways at 60 is also possible. I am 5ft 11" and weigh around 180 and headwinds can be a problem.

Yeah, headwinds and hills. Getting low helps with the headwinds, not so much with the hills.

Just my .02 worth Tom, I'm not on Facebook or a fan either. I sold every bike I have ever had on craigslist and found it to be a great resource. Of course, now they charge $5 for the service but in my opinion it's worth it. I'm in your area and sold my Brozz on craigslist for $1475 and paid $1750 new. I did have some extras but that normally doesn't increase price too much. I just don't see reasonably priced china bikes on craigslist very often. I looked for a used one for quite a while, I personally would give craigslist a shot.

Didn't know they now charge you. I'll give it a try. Maybe.

I would suggests emphasizing the seat height and low profile of the X-Pect as that is one of its most outstanding and desirable features. And with the stock tires it is a quick and nimble street machine.

Good points, thanx. Ima gonna pitch it as a good all-around learner bike, and I am moving on up.

BTW, regarding my dealer's prices, he is selling the KP Mini for $100 less than Venom, and the X-pect for $100 more. So not a gouger for sure. The KPX is $200 over Venom's price. All very fair for a brick and mortar. His small and plain shop is in an industrial park, and I am sure he does not have the overhead of the big carlike dealerships.
