Well I was near 400 miles on my '16 RX3 and decided to change the oil for the first time. What did I notice when I was face level with the OCS? It was upside down. So I flipped it so the hose was above the clamp. So this still seems like something everyone should check on their bike when they are delivered.

Fuel psi drop test

Here is the procedure outlined by Gerry at CSC for detecting a leaking injector:

Connect a fuel psi meter to the fuel line
Start the engine
Fuel psi should increase and maintain psi as engine is running
Turn engine off
Fuel psi should hold 80% of its value for at least 20 minutes

Checking the fuel psi drop is the best way to determine if you have a leaking injector.

I will relay my findings when I do my test.

Please do keep us updated. I have been hoping for quite a while that you can resolve this problem.

Is the psi meter you use to check this a generic one that works on all fuel injectors or do you need a special for the RX3? thanks rj

Pressure leak down test, seems simple enough. In line generic, oreilly auto p. Part #1654 no $ found guess it depends on what and where to connect.

That pressure gauge only seems to read 15 psi, which is not high enough.

I bought a fuel injection pump pressure gauge from eBay.
