As far as the forks go. I doubt there is any measurable benefit. Certainly the "adjustable" rear shock on my TT is still a sh*t shock. I'd certainly feel better taking apart the conventional fork of the Hawk.

nice not having to worry about electric heated gear with the 300W alternator on the TT.

I agree on the smooth part

Let's not forget LED turns and taillight, balance shaft motor, stainless fasteners and nice recessed gas cap that also add to the nice touches of the TT....but as moparrob states, it's the CA legal that's worth every penny of the extra $$$....plus CSC themselves....even if there was zero difference between them. It's important here.

IF the Hawk was legal here in CA, it probably would have won out but it's not an option, if you don't want to play DMV games. I've had the "street legal" non-CA China bike here once and it ended up being a worthless little trail bike that I never rode.

According to this site, it's an 845.00 difference....but I'm sure the Hawk can be found less expensive elsewhere.

I'm very happy with the TT250 and CSC. Don't regret the purchase one bit.

And scalloped rotors help braking exactly how?

After all, technically this bike has inverted forks as well....

I have been researching this same thing for seems like 6 months now. Like others have said if you live in an area where it's either impossible or a pain in the ass to register a hawk the TT is the way to go. It also depends on your mechanical ability and confidence. CSC is just a phone call away with help, parts, and guidance. You also have a warranty, with the hawk you are on your own besides help from this great community here. I live in GA and the hawk is getting hard to register here in urban areas so I'm leaning toward the TT(if I can ever save up enough $ finally!) I'm divorced with kids and it's time to play Santa now otherwise I'd jump on the 2016 CSC closeout sale.

Not a lot of difference, forks are nice but not worth $1000..

I ordered a csc tt250 skid plate and it fits right on my hawk,, difference noticed is the hawks oil plug don't line up with the cutout on the skid plate.. makes me think there is some difference in the engine.. could just be mounting position I suppose.

it's about an inch forward of the cutout, I made the cutout bigger to accomodate.

Maybe the drain plug is in a different spot to accommodate the balance shaft?

Look trick is about all it does. Now if these were plasma coated aluminum rotors, then we'd be talking something. Talkin' the talk is not the same thing as walkin' the walk.

Not too sure about that. This itty-bitty tiny, skinny scalloped rotor on my Q works far better than any in my rolling stock. Probably because it disperses heat the quickest having the least amount of material.
