Taotao 250B

Looking at picking up a Taotao 250B for the wife. I see lots of posts for the D, Rhino model, but does anyone have any experience with the little sport version? Seems hard to pass up at about $1000. Thanks

There are actually 3 versions. The Rhino, the ATA-250D and the ATA-250B. The Rhino has a lot of fancy plastics and a little lower to the ground. The 250D is basically the Rhino, but without the plastic racks and its taller. The 250B looks more Racy and smaller.

I always suggest the Rhino or 250D for practicality and usefulness factors Without racks to carry stuff, whats the point?!

Well no matter as the B model's are sold out all over. Have a Roketa 250 cc water cooled sport quad on order. We shall see how that goes. Thanks for the feed back.

If you like the sportier ones, you can still get the 250e's some places for as cheap as $850 and they are water cooled. Great machines.

Roketa arrived

Roketa 250 Water-cooled quad. Boy was I worried when I unwrapped the plastic from the shipping crate. How do they beat them up so bad. Only a few minor scratches. Had some goo on the side of the engine also, turned out to be the coolant which leaked out. Bike went together pretty well for Chinese. Started right up and runs great. Wife is happy. Sold her Hawk for $1100 and that is exactly what I paid for the quad from www.dfwscootersandatvs.com/. Good prices but lousy service...

Looks like the metal crate really saved your new bike. Whats with the coolant leak? Needing a new gasket or just tighten things up?

can you take a pic of the motor for me?? Mine has a lifcan.. something like that motor, the only two I have seen like it are the two I bought.. my son has the 125 with three speed, tao tao stopped making that one because it has gears, now they just make a automatic one. even my buddy the dealer said it is gutless because of that. the three speed will lay rubber. mine has a four speed with clutch.. but having trouble finding a dang thing on it..

glad your bike made it... everytime I buy one in the crate the jetting is a mile off.. no idea way I am only at 600ft above sea level... any how thanks..
