Globescout Panniers + Rotopax

Hey all. I installed some Globescout XPAN panniers and a Rotopax 1.75 gallon on my RX3, check 'em out.

Nice. Cost? Did you attach them to the Tourfella mounts?

Cheers,

Dan K.

Hi Dan,

~$1k for the panniers and mounting pucks from advdepot, 129 for the tourfella rack and mounts, 100 for rotopax and locking mount.

Your panniers look great. Can you share a vendor link for the panniers and mounts? For which model bike are the pannier mounts designed?

Thanks! The panniers can be made to fit the tourfella mounts if you install the mounting pucks yourself. ADVDepot is the USA retailer. There is a lot of info about the panniers at this thread on ADVRider. I got 28L and 35L individual panniers and installed the mounting pucks (the thickest option, 18mm) myself to fit them snugly to the tourfella mounts.

Okay, now I think I understand. You bought the Tourfella pannier racks as well as the luggage rack. Is that correct? If so, did you buy the Tourfella pannier racks with the Tourfella panniers, or did you buy them separately?

I bought the Tourfella pannier mounts and top rack for $129 and did not buy the Tourfella panniers.

The Globescout panniers carry a lot while only adding 1 inch of total width past my handguards

they're extremely well made (in Turkey!) and are an excellent compromise between weight, size, and hopefully durability. Mine have:

anodization inside and out
useful under-lid nets
carry straps that also expand to strap down gear
replaceable corners
full metal mounting

and there's also topcases if you're into those.

I really like them. They do block the RX3's turn signals from a key angle so I opted to add some Admore Lights.

hi paisleyrider, i think spud and i are curious as to where you purchased the pannier racks by themselves for 129$... personally I've been pestering Ryan at csc for a set for months now to no avail.

I purchased the rack and pannier mounts directly from CSC. I'm not sure why they wouldn't sell you a rack separately, although Ryan did say that mine was originally used on a display bike so perhaps they just made an exception for me because they had an extra rack and mount set that did not have an accompanying set of Tourfella panniers. That's just speculation, though.

I think you are correct. This is just another example of the exceptional customer service offered by Ryan, and everyone else at CSC.
