I bought an anti fog applique for lack of a better description for my motorcycle helmet. It goes on like a screen protector for a phone, but on the inside of my helmet visor. I tested it riding the Hawk DLX in the back yard. Temps are mid 20's with snow and significant wind. I aired down to 14-15 psi and got a taste of my first real winter riding. I was quite conservative due to lack of experience, but my Kendas did great on snow, grass, mud, roots, as they should

Oh yeah, the anti fog thing was effective. I give it 4 outta 5 stars for 1st impressions.

An outdoor outlet timer.

Winter has hit with a vengeance at Cheesy Manor with sub zero temps(F)for most of next week. Cheesy also has a diesel pickup that came with a factory installed block heater. Until the timer gets here, the pickup will be plugged in overnight. After that, I'll set the timer to kick the heater on at 5:00am and off at 9:00am. We usually don't go anywhere before 10 anyway.

I ordered a 135Amp,110V Flux Core Welder/Lift TIG/Stick 3-in-1 inverter Welding Machine. My 35+ year old MIG welder has seen it's days. The gun leaks and trigger mechanism works when it feels like it. I figured for $99, I'll try it out.

Sure thing. I've watched a bunch of You tube videos on it. Seems to be a pretty good little welder. It's perfect for what I'll be using it for. I'm always having some sort of little fabrication projects around the house or just repairing stuff that breaks.

Monday i bought a new 10 amp charger for the truck... Today i ordered a replacement starter for it...The starter i had rebuilt last year had the solenoid go out combined with breaking off a portion of the mount just after swapping a new solenoid on. So for the next week or so I'm driving my landlords F150.

XPRO Titan 250

Ordered on Tuesday Night, arrived Thursday afternoon. This is an XPRO Titan 250 DLX from powersportsmax.com. After shopping and doing some dollar counting, bang for the buck this seems unbeatable at $1579 delivered for the street licensable version. They have the Templer with the bigger motor, 5 and counter balanced 6 speed, but so do several other manufacturers at similar prices for a potentially better product. Trail Master and Apollo? But that's a different price point than this bike. At $1279 w lighting pkg. and the Zongshen 223,.. it's the best bike for that price.

Pain killers for after Mrs.C’s surgery today. She’s home and doing okay, but it was a long day. At least she got a 3 hour nap.

Thanks.
She's always been a lousy patient, but I think the post-op recommendations are sticking this time. When I first saw her in Recovery, I told her she looked like she was at the four martini stage and sobering up. It was a long day.

So i got to play around with the little welder over the weekend. I sacrificed myself to the cold just for you. lol I had a few pieces of scrape angle iron i tested the Flux core on. I only had .35 wire. Very simple and easy to setup. Even a caveman could do it. lol There are two knobs. One is for Voltage which you set on 0. You can adjust voltage 3 volts either way. This controls the heat. The other knob is for amps and wire speed. The wire speed increases and decreases with the amps. On 1/8" thick angle, I set it to 60 amps. This thing welds like butter. So smooth. No guessing at wire speed VS amps. I tried in on two pieces 1/4" plate. I set it to 85 amps and put down a nice bead. I like this thing already. Yesterday I picked up some 1/8" rods to try the stick welding out. I started out at 80 amps and had to increase the amps until I could lay down a good weld. at 110 amps it welded perfect. It didn't come with the Lift TIG gun but from the videos i watched it looks like it does a good job with that too. I'll wait till i get some warmer weather and make a video on the machine. This think works so much better than my old Gas welder.
