ok I took it apart and found that the main jet is #102 and the slow jet is #35 .

I'd jump a couple of sizes to around 40 for the slow jet.

Weldangrind Should I change where the needle is at ? Right now it on the top one.

Well I have the main and slow jets coming main is a 108 and the slow 40 .SMC still makes this atv but it's sold in England and Germany under the name Barossa.

Not yet. Try to only make one change at a time. If the bike starts and idles well, and goes well at WOT but has a flat spot at mid-range, then move the clip. When you do, move it only one notch and re-test.

Thanks Weldangrind for the info. Well after putting new low and main jets in its running now wow. Now I have to adjust the valves to get the noise ( ticking )gone. So thinks for everyone that helped out.

That's an interesting motor design.


Don't try to make the valves quiet; that's asking for trouble. As Spud says, slappy valves are happy valves.

Well everything is ok so far. It's running great now don't have to use the choke at all now one push of the button and it starts right up. So just putting the new body parts on it now the only thing is that the new head light is a 4 plug and the old one is 3. Has a small lamp with the main one.so trying to fix that one.
