If the six speed transmission is inspired by Honda, there is simply an extra gear between 2-3 or 3-4 (can't recall which); it's not likely to be an overdrive gear. Think of it more like a close-ratio transmission that always allows you to be in the ideal gear for racing.

I can't figure out the design of this motor. The dipstick is in an odd position to be copied from Honda, yet the clutch arm is on the correct side. There is no visible bump for the countershaft, hinting that it's designed more like a KLR250. Hmm...

I suspect it would bolt in to any Honda-inspired China bike.

The six-speed has two over drive gears. where the five-speed has one. Anything lower than 1:1 is an over driven gear. You could run lower gearing for offroad and keep a decent on road rpms.

After seeing that video Jerry posted I want one of those. The comments appear to be in Spanish or porchagese so they must sell them in South America. Just have to make it across the US boarder. Heck, if coyotes are doing it on foot I could easily make it with a full tank! Time to take a bird to South America and road trip it back to the US. Whose coming with me?

It should be noted that the 6 speed transmission also means no kick start. That is the trade off.

It was the same way with the CRF230s... They had a kicker at first, but the gears were too weak and they had to redesign the transmission, eliminating the kicker.

I'm willing to lose the kicker for a 6 speed.

I would also trade the kicker for a 6th gear. Probably just wishful thinking that you would actually get it. Would suck for customs to take it and lose the $750. Really actually crappy situation. They know when someone gets these bikes or other bikes they will be modded and not be in compliance but they still make it a requirement.

That is a big reason I have yet to pull the trigger. If I found a U.S. supplier it would be on order already.

I think if you bought it through Ebay instead of yoycart and used paypal you might have some protection against loosing your money.

Still only 223cc not 249cc which is 15kw or so
GPX what engine is in there bikes? 232.6cc or 223cc?
It’s very expensive or complex to ship, these engines are not sooo eco since here but shipping is a mare as I looked into it etc

You think ebay would refund your money if it was denied at customs? If there was no risk that would be sweet. It is listed with free shipping to here so either they know it will work or it is a scam and they get your money and the motor back if customs returns it to the sender.
