Tao Motors D125 Vibration and gear question

We just brought home brand new a D125. When it goes in Gear the display says L and not D for drive. It also vibrates like mad when you get on it.

I am wondering if it is in a Low gear and that explains both things. However it doesn't shift any further into D ever.

Should I assume it is what it is and it just says L instead of D and will vibrate because its a cheap ATV?

All chinese atvs have the vibrations... the motor is mounted direct to the frame.. all you can do is make sure your chain is set right.. the tires have the right air pressure.. and the motor mounts are tight.. enjoy the ride.. you can check the valve settings and carb settings to make the motor run smoother
