mild steel intake manifold?

I can't seem to find a manifold that'll work with my Nibbi PE30 on my TBR7. is there some reason why I can't just fabricate one from mild steel plate and tubing? I'd make it from aluminum, but I can't weld aluminum with my set up

Go for it. If it works well, make a few. They'll probably sell.

The only issue I can think of is heat soak. Someone else here can probably chime in on whether they think that would be a problem.

You might want to get a phenolic spacer between the head and manifold, and make sure the inside of the manifold is smooth. Also make sure you use a gasket to keep it sealed up.

the Nibbi has a rubber hose type mount, so that should help mitigate heat soak

Here is one you can get..or many others like it on Ebay or Amazon. This one was recommended by JerryHawk250 I think. Some are as little as $5, not sure if there is any quality difference.

I am using this one on my 2020 TBR granted I am running a PWK 30 not the Nibbi

NIBBI Orginal High Performance CQR Intake Manifold Air Joint Boot Connector For Motorcycle Motorcross Dirt Bike Kawasaki CQR250 CRF

It is 15.99 and is Prime. I trimmed maybe 1/4" and it fits and clears the frame. I have the Uni foam filter.

I have that intake manifold, where did you trim it to make it fit?
