cam replacement, engine out or not?

I finally got my replacement cam from Brazil, it had been caught up in the covid crazyness when the post office refused to accept packages from Brazil. Since it's going to be 115-116f this weekend, I was thinking about doing the swap in the cool of my garage.
So, how easy is it to swap the cam with the engine in the bike and are there any special tools required to do so?

Assuming its a CG engine, swapping cams in the frame should be easy. You'll need feeler gauges and a flywheel puller.

will a standard 3 leg puller work?

Indeed i have seen people trying to pull a CG flywheel with a 3 leg puller and messed up the flywheel.
Can be done with one? Yes, but not worth the risk.

what's the best way to pull it?

There is a special tool that screws into the flywheel, or you can use a large bolt in it's place. Can't remember what size.

If it has three threaded holes in it you might get away with a harmonic balancer type puller or a steering wheel puller ,but like mentioned above there is a proper puller for flywheels you will just need to know the thread size required

If this is the same engine Dan just did a cam on ,it might be in his posts about it or his video ,etc.

It is in spanish, but no need to listen, just watch. Instead of the Adjustable spanner you could just a 19mm Combination Wrench.
That is one the easiest way and the less intrusve for the engine
