K&N filter part no

Is HA-0502 for the TBR7 and bikes with the flat "lawn mower" style filter airbox

For the price I would just get a cheap pod filter. I ride primarily in the dirt/desert.

For my GSXR I have the K&N filter. Pod filter easier to take off and clean too. (my next project) XD

Edit: That looks exactly like my Bashan BSR filter, size 135mm x 115mm

I considered that at 1st, but my leg would have been touching the pod for a good sized one and this looked a cleaner installation.

I had one of those. It was horrible excuse of a filter. They are used dry no oil ever, the face is dyed red just to confuse you. They don’t fit well too short so you’ll need a bent wire square shaped spacer to fill the gap. Way to restrictive on flow you’ll see. All the Amazon reviews aren’t great I thought my experience would be better.

I’d like to cnc a frame from plastic and glue in a UNI foam filter. I have the materials on had just no open time on the Machine. Winter project.

IMHO, K&N is overpriced junk. Just get a washable foam filter.

I got it dialled in today, had to up the main from 110 to 115. This tells me its flowing better than the stock filter. This was a perfect fit into my airbox, maybe they changed the design of the air box?

My mods as follows 120 main 27.5 pilot PZ30 paper filter stock exhaust w/ no cat. Muffler tip is gutted out. Ported head decked .040 for compression. Air box lid is opened up. It’s actually a little lean when it’s real hot out.

This is exactly what I plan on doing to my bike, I've been putting it off due to work. I like the stock look with added water protection. I think the K&N for mine will be like $26 and I may have to do light modding to get a good seal.

Looks great!

If its lean with it really hot out, it should be even leaner when it gets cooler outside.

Dan I think you should start a thread and call it "Basics of carburetor principles, tuning, and theory 101" and possibly Jerry can make it a sticky, as the knowledge is clearly needed here.

I plan to do a partial gut out of the stock Vader and have been finding all the
K & N's in the $45.00 plus range. I must be looking wrong. HELP!

I have a slightly used K&N from my Hawk I’d be willing to lose, need the room. It’s current use and better then OEM use is to hold down my 3 tier pallet rack.
