110 zong HELP

zongshen 110 cc pit bike
will only run with the choke on
im thinking piston rings
eny ideas folks :?: :?:

Sounds like it is starving for fuel. Have you cleaned the carb and check for fuel flow from the tank?

Blocked idle jet?. Drain carb float chamber into a clean container and see if there's a lot of sediment, water droplets, etc. If so the idle jet could be blocked by some of it.

If it's been exposed to water, rain, washing with a hose etc, and you have one of those pod filters, the chances are that a drop of water has got through the filter and blocked the idle jet.

and it does have a pod filter will drain carb and check

Agree. Plugged soemthing in the carb. Did the bike sit awhile?

Take a look inside the tank with a torch, (or a lighted match if you're a fully paid-up member of EXIT) and see if there's dirt at the bottom, or internal rusting. If so drain tank, put in some fresh gas to rinse and remove the gas tap so that all the dirt can be flushed out.
Clean out the mesh filter in the tap itself.
