Icebear monkey bike

I received my monkey bike from megamotormadness, and it's been a bad experience. I guess part is my fault for not checking the bike toroughly when the driver was here.
Dent, scratches in gas tank, the front wheel rim was smashed where the speed sensor (whatever is called) is supposed to fit in., and the bike actually looks angled to the right when we placed it on the stand.

I called and one of the guys at Parts is trying to help, but he already pointed out that since I found this after the driver check (im talking minutes), I might be on my own to buy replacement parts.

I'm sorry to hear of the shipping damage to your new bike.

It is important to thoroughly examine the contents of the shipping crate before you sign to accept the shipment.

And always ever without question no matter what pay with a true credit card. A credit dispute and chargeback can sometimes be your only recourse.

Thanks for the replies.
My shop actually fixed the rim, and finished setting the bike up. It cost me $100.

Now, I see different approaches to the break in of the bike. Manufacturer recommends max spped of like 25mph during first 100 miles..which is almost impossible to do.
Any recommendations based on experience?
Also, what is the max speed of these bikes. When I've been to 40mph it sounds like is "drawning" but I didn't really push more from there bc I only have 60 miles on it so far. That, if the odometer is on miles bc I'm not sure if is Km or miles.

Icebear DAX 125 cc monkey

HI again,

wiuth 185 miles in the monkey (Icebear 125cc); I cant go over 34 mph...I am frustrated about this bike.
Did the breaking in had to do with this?

I was patient until about 150 miles , and tehn went full throttle and barely reached 34-35mph. I only weight 170.

Your bike more than likely could use some gear gearing changes ,how much faster do you think you want to go on those 8" wheels ?
