Another good tire is the CST C7210 in size 110/90-18.

Another nice tire for the front, 18-inch wheel is the Michelin T63 in size 110/80-18.

I have mounted this tire on the rear wheel of my Honda XR650L. It does a pretty good job, and is reasonably priced.

The Michelin T63 will probably clear mud from the tread better than the Shinko 244.

The Pirelli MT21 is another excellent choice for a front tire. The MT21 is a perennial favorite with dual sport riders, and the size 110/80-18 tire is a good fit for the front wheel.

Another good tire for the front wheel in sloppy conditions is the Maxxis IT tire in size 100/100-18.

I wonder how the Shinko SR241 would be?
I like it on my TW200 not great for mud but really grips onto almost everything else.
It comes in 4.00-18 and 3.50-18 and 3.00-18

That looks like a good front tire. I wonder how well it wears?

I do not have enough miles on the TW to let you know, but I will report back.
I know I have read on one forum that a guy has DR650 with one on the front and he has 13,000 on it and still going. He is riding 80/20. Others seem to like the Pirelli MT 43 also.

I like trials tire for the trails, street, and the fact that they rip up the terrain. Many places we ride do not allow motorcycles yet we go in and out of these areas with permission, because with do not tear the place up. I run similar tires on my Ural as well. They are not bad in the snow either.

I like the tread pattern on the Shinko 241. However, I know that actual trials tires are soft, which helps them to grip well, but they don't last long on the street.

Thanks for reporting the excellent mileage the DR650 owner got from this front tire. I think the Shinko 241 tire would be a good choice for the front wheel. I would prefer the following sizes.

3.00-18
3.50-18

Those would both fit the stock rim correct?
The Shinko 241 is a kind of a hybrid trials as are the Duro 308s for my Ural the rubber is not soft enough for true trials sport use or at least not as soft as the competition from what I have read. Also trials sport use tires are run with very low pressure ( 6 psi or so ) to help with traction.
Now with that said it may not be the right tire unless riding the correct conditions for the tire and still may wear prematurely for some.

From the content we write and read here, it is obvious that should ZS updates the RX3 for 2016, the first and most desirable change is related to the wheel size..
Imo, the ideal product should come equipped with 19"/17" tubeless..

Yes, both sizes I listed will fit the stock front rim.

If the DR650 rider got 13,000 miles, and counting, the rubber must be hard enough.

I don't know how I missed the Shinko 241 front tire. I mentioned several other tires with a similar tread in the first post.

Thanks for mentioning this tire, Keith. The more I look at it, the more I like it. I think this tire will perform much better than the stock, CST front tire.
