For $3499...I like this!!

http://qlinkmotor.com/products/gallery.php?pid=95

Considering the Kawasaki Ninja is $4999 CDN this is not a bad price!

Just my opinion...

16hp vs 31hp
5sp vs 6sp

You do get what you pay for.

I had a new Ninja 250 last summer and the Q, as nice as it is, and cool and a neat value and all that, is very much no Ninja.

Nice looking bike, but at $3500, I think it's still $1000 high.

I would look at the Zonshen GS 250 if you can find one and a price. Below is a link of a comparison that might be a little help.

I don't know about the Zong 250, but I had a Kinroad 250 (Lifanoid) and it was a poor motorcycle, even using CB standards. It was counterbalanced but vibrated, and it made no more power than a HSUN Lifanoid 200 Enduro I had at the time. The pegs and stand scraped in turns even at modest lean angles, the suspension was limp, the electricals were unreliable, and it simply was no fun. I sold it for what I paid to a beginner rider, and it was good for him for his purposes.

I've not ridden the Megilli, but it appears to be an entirely different animal. FWIW, it looks hot as heck. Like a Ducati.

I think you may be mistaken by the 125cc they have in the same model

Here is what I found http://www.bennche.com/product/Megelli_250r-specs.htm

27hp is respectable....

FWIW HiSUN, who makes the Megilli, also makes the Q Link side by sides, and they are exceptionally well made units.

those answers are bull---- from people that are at least a bit stupid.

1. I hate the thing with parts that are available for the kawasaki ninja or older japs. do you know what the price tag for an EFI unit is?
wih chinese is mostly labour and labour is almost the same so... if I have a lauty CDI on an 200Gs is 50 $ + labour but on a ninja ... si at least 200+ labour...
the real problem with chinese bikes is the bike overall design (and performance). I am still expecting a decent 350-500cc aircooled single like the trusty old DR350 with decent pick-up power.

Yes, but:

We have to look at the end use. To most, a 250cc motorcycle, especially one that wants you to *think* it is "sporty", is a "stepping stone" to something larger, not a "goal". So, the intelligent purchase, with re-sale in mind, is the bike with the greatest percentage of re-sale value, not the least. No matter the cost of repair, because it is not a short term factor, as such, comparing "new" to "new".

The "winning" idea, is to buy at the bottom of the vehicle's value (within it's life span), and re-sell, hopefully for more than what was paid.

The ninja is worth the extra money, because one day you will want to sell it to get a bigger bike. The resale for ninjas are good. Also - if you decide to keep it the ninja is better supported.

Yes, you can still purchase a Megilli 250R. I suggest you read the threads posted by forum member RecRacer, in the Street Forum.
