Who makes EPA/DOT approved china DP motorcycles?

Well my Idea to buy a Shineray DP motorcycle has hit a road block, according to my states official list which is PA Shineray motorcycles cannot be liscensed or titled in PA.

So my next question as stated above which china bikes are EPA/Dot approved? I was hot for the shineray, loved thier prices, but shot down by PA. Option B American lifan at $400.00 Ouch!!!!

any help will be appreciated thanks guys

if you are in Pa you might want to try to register it in WV then transfer it to Pa. just a thought. i bought my A.L. in Wheeling WV .

also i think someone on this site has a roketa registered in uniontown.
and someone else has a lifan in pittsburg.

silverman1,

Just for the heck of it, try looking on that list for "US Titan" instead of Shineray, that is the official dealer listed on the MSO.

pumpkin may have the answer if you REALLY want the DB-P12

Where is this list? My Roketa wasn't DOT/EPA & I got it tagged in PA.

I just got e-mailed by the NJ MVC and they too do not have Shineray on their list. I will do more asking around as I also did want to get the Speedee.

No DMV is going to have Shineray on thier list. I registered my bike under the name Titan (USTitan)...that was also not in the list...but it matches the name on the MSO...and the business name/address listed on bill of sale...

That is what is important.

worked for me in MASS...

Good luck...

My bike is registered as a KTM-MX because the people at the DMV didn't know what else to use. As the bikes become more common the gov database will eventually add a catagory for the china bikes, but we all know how slow the gov is to update their PC's.
