Ordered a 50 cc scoot at same time as the hawk the papers for it came today but not the hawk stuff. Scoot legal in illinois now no prob dmv says same thing with the hawk once papers show. Totaled like 190 something just mco and bill of sale.

I wanted everyone to know here. That Washington State will register the Hawk. No problem at all. Brought my MSO and bill of sale in. You don't need to do a safety inspection or anything. Walked out with my street plate, and ORV stickers.

I recall a few members a while back reported on plating the Hawk in Washington State. It is good to hear from new members periodically 'checking in' with current registrations in random states just so the info is out there that it is still 'safe' to plate them there! Congrats on your new bike, btw!!

I already kind of made my own posts on this, but I may as well add to the collective information here.

Nebraska = successful. 2017 RPS Hawk.

Take your MCO and Bill of Sale to the DMV with proof of insurance. Pay around $120-130 bucks. Done. No inspection needed or any hoops to jump through.

No problems whatsoever in Virginia. Walked in VA DMV with MCO and bill of sale, walked out with tags.

Registered mine in WV with no issues. Just make sure the Certificate of Origin is complete with notary signature and bill of sale. WV charges 6% tax and title fees.

You will have to check with your DMV. Better yet check with one of the Auto Tag and title shop. Those guy's would probably be more help than the DMV since there in the business to making money.
