Hi Spud !
Well, for miles,i dont know exactly,my odo has stopped working at 17000 km (i posted it here, the odometer bulb has melted the numbers,i replace it with LED bulb but too late ). In meantime i was using digital odometer, but recently water broke in,stoped working (yeah it was too cheap 4$ !).My estimation is about 35 000 km,maybe more ore less.
Im too happy with bike.

I will post video at night (for 3,4 hours)
I'm glad to hear your Zong is running well after 21,000 miles, Max! I finally caught up to you; I am closing in on 22,000 miles with my Zong. I look forward to watching your video! Did Phil sell you the replacement CDI unit you needed, or did you get one somewhere else?

My goodness, what a difference! Thank you for posting the videos, Max! What HID system did you install, and how much did it cost?

I did a brief search, and you can find a lot of these HID conversion kits selling for less than $100. I have two questions. Are these kits legal, and how well do they hold up to the vibrations induced by trail riding?

This is very interesting! Maybe I can put one in my KZ. Right now the headlight is like a 2 D cell flashlight. It must be the original 33 year old bulb in there!

I believe the HID Xenon bulbs use arc lighting, instead of filament lighting. If this is so, then the vibration from trail riding should not hasten their demise. In fact, the manufacturers claim the HID bulbs last three to five times as long as halogen bulbs.

http://www.xenonoptics.com/faq.php

Many people are spending $20 for H4, halogen bulbs. Taking this into account, spending $60 for an HID conversion kit sounds quite reasonable.

Correct Spud !
The main reason why i bought HID is becouse of frequently changeing standard bulbs (yes,i do sometime trailriding). Yes, HID bulb does not have any wire (like standard one), it is filled with gas.

Here in Croatia, HIDs are legal BUT only 6000K kit, i dont know for USA.
Xenon HID bulb doesnt know what is "vibration" , main reason i switched to HID.

Thank you, Max. Do you think your HID headlight annoys other motorists?

I dont know for that,maybe :?

But one thing is sure, as long your low light beam is max 40~60m and you are driving with low beam at road, i dont think you are annoying other drivers

I believe the LED light is the best for your car. Many car users prefer this kind of light because of its good effects. You can try it too and see the big difference.

Thank you for your input, Shawn. You have further confirmed my belief that the Zong stator is fully capable of supporting a 60W headlight.
