I've been doing a little research, and I discovered some people also like adding the following products to their fuel.

Chevron Techron Fuel System Cleaner
TC-W3 Motor Oil (Two Cycle Motor Oil for Water Cooled, Marine Engines)

Here is an interesting video I found on YouTube. Of course, Lucas Deep Clean is a different product than Lucas UCL.

The Lucas Deep Clean is what I'm using every couple thousand miles on my bike that I mentioned in my previous post.

Question though...on the MMO, would or have you also add that to your motorcycle engine oil? Any concerns about the clutch?

Thanks!

Haven't added MMO to a motorcycle engine (in fear of having Wet Clutch issues)... but have used it in several cars to help clean up a dirty engine... always replaced 20% of the oil with MMO, drive around keeping an eye on oil levels (topping up with regular oil when needed) until it was time for an oil change a few thousand miles later

I do use Neutra 131 in motorcycle engines to clean them up, 1 ounce for every quart of oil, ride for at least 500 miles before changing the oil

Spud, which of the fuel system cleaners do you favor?

I'm in the mtns, with a limited cell phone connection, and cannot watch the videos.

I have never used a fuel system cleaner, so I don't have a favorite. I am honestly seeking information to learn more about them.

Things back to normal

It stalls no matter if the engine is cold or warm. Usually after sitting for a few hours. There have been a few times when I've been coasting at low RPM's when suddenly the engine cuts out.

I didn't start adding the fuel treatment until about mile 180 or 2 visits to the gas station. Recently, at around mile 275, I added a larger amount of the same treatment to a full tank of gas and noticed that It's not stalling as often. Maybe the fuel additive that was added initially by CSC was getting too diluted and not as effective after subsequent fill-ups?
OK I can hereby now vouch that Lucas Upper Cyl FI cleaner wasn't the problem. Things are working normally on the bike with the proper amount Lucas added to the gas tank.

In all honesty Spud, I think it does make the RX3's easier to start after sitting for a week or two....but other than that, I'm just hoping it's quietly doing something good in there. I'm concerned about the intake valves and I'm hoping that running this may help stabilize valve adjustments by lubricating the seats.....or taking the place of lead.

At first I was measuring every shot but after I read that you can't over-feed your bike, I just flip the bottle over and squeeze. "Close enough".

As I've stated prior, I'm not a believer in "Miracle in a Can", but it has to do something. Why would Gerry recommend it if he has no stock in Lucas?

back in the day ,I had a car mechanic tell me he ran a quart of ATF oil in his gas tank every couple of thousand miles just to lube things up and thought it help motor last longer and run smoother. FYI ,YMMV ,CAVIAT EMPTOR, and all those other here to for warnings. I believe him, it was before the internet. rj
