I want more air.

Look to try a good cone filter, what's the best for my Storm? I may try modding my filter box to take a K&N. any suggestions?

From my own experiences, the best flowing pod filters out there are the dual layer foam ones, either the Uni or the cheaper ones Like I run.

You also have the option of doing a DIY foam panel filter by modding your existing paper filter. Simply cut out the paper bit, buy a Uni foam filter panel, glue in place around the edges. A couple of members have done that on here and were decently satisfied with the results. That would be my route if I were wanting to keep the air box at least.

I agree with Dan. A good foam filter flows better than the Paper and even the K&N.

I have a uni on my storm. Happy with it but the boot did rip. its been on and off a ton for carb tinkering so i can't fully say it was due to quality issues. The angled one tucks in really nice, ill take a pic at lunch.

Any Uni-type foam filter with a slight neck bend with a 42mm inlet will work.

44 I believe. Fits fine, just don't over tighten the clamp, think that's how I ripped my boot.

That's the one I am running. Bought it direct because it was cheaper. Have one on my sxs too. Easier to brush it off and keep going VS washing, drying and oiling the foam all the time. Oh yeah, get a recharge kit too lol.

You can find them on ebay as well. I have 2. One on the bike and themother cleaned, dried, and oiled in a bag ready to swap out.

Uni filter oil is what I use. I oil the inner and leave the outer dey, but if you might encounter water hou can also oil the kuter foam to help semi water proof it.

Well I got it on. But surprisingly I'm thinking I need to downsize my jet. Now it runs better with half choke ( w/ no back fire)and bogs with the choke off and dead at the top of the throttle. I thought I'd need more gas?

The longer intake tube of a constant diameter means either an increase in negative pressure and/or higher intake velocity across the jets, which equates to a stronger pull on said jets, and more fuel being drawn through the same size jet.

I literally have two filters that require a very large difference in jet size. My dual foam filter with a 152-155 main, and my K&N style which so far has needed a 140, which is still a tad rich.
