all of the street legal products we import, and any street legal product in general... must be compliant with transport canada's rules and regulations. Not only must they comply, but proper testing documents must be shown, to TC, and approved by TC, before they will allow the product to enter the country.

Jim - DID i hear you just volunteer to be the first to test ride a Baotian in Canada? hehe

That's what I thought... Just not seeing a lot of actual Chinese motorcycles these days, with the exception of your Qingqi / KSM200, and the Saga Dual Sport, which wasn't at the show.

A test-ride you say... I don't know... Is it going to be in Vancouver like you said, or at your Langley warehouse, because there's not much chance I'm going anywhere near Vancouver for the next few weeks... I haven't ridden many scooters either for comparison sake. They look good in the pictures though.

it's not as bad as you think. alot of people are taking transit and traffic isn't that bad. It would actually be alot of fun to check out all of the FREE olympic venues by scooter. Maybe we could both go? would also make some excellant photos!

Give me a shout @ 877 689 1671 - gets forwarded to my cell at night -

Oh... and far as street legal chinese made products go.
I believe the only people who have them are
Konker
Saga
Tomos
Johnny Pag
Chironex
Keaway
Daymak

Many distributors didn't do the Vancouver motorcycle show because it was hard to get hotels, etc.

Yamaha

It's the chamber. All breathing mods make the difference, but a properly working expansion chamber is the key.

I was just curious to see what another members thoughts were on the Boatian machines.

I am on opposite end of the continent with no passport so I am out. Just nice to get an unbiased review of a product. Probably not the best time of year for a ride up there either.

the weather up here has been GREAT for the summer olympics! anyone on this message board who has been a member for a long time, is invited to go on a test ride for an un-biased review.

call me at 877 689 1671 if interested.

i also just got back from a dealership, and saw the aprilia scarebarough. Baotian's Euro is very similiar in styling, size, and look and feel.

The scareborough 200 is priced out @ 4500, and BT's MSRP is $2399.

I dont think I could get out of the airport here at DFW. About 8 inches of snow on the ground and still snowing. And no snow on the ground for the olympics? Crazy!

Odd I missed this.

I think a weekend loaner for W&G and I is in order. I can put my professional photographer wife to work she's been lazy of late. Take nice photos, try not to drop it.

I am wondering if Baoation was a supplier for United Motors?
http://cleveland.craigslist.org/mcy/1921130317.html

The scooter is being sold by a dealer in Findlay Ohio, that phone number is a dealer number a quick goolge of it brings Yahmaha and Suzuki....dealer.

Thats a brand new scooter and with a larger displacement. There are a ridiculous number of scooter for sale on Craigs list.
