1980 Honda CM400

Found a guy on craigslist with a nice looking cm400, has 20k on it, says it runs perfect and he is asking only $400, pretty sure thats a great price, what do you guys think? should i be worried about the 20k miles on it?

I want to make it a cafe racer, or bobber for fun. going to check it out this weekend!

You have my full attention.

That's a good price, and I wouldn't worry about the mileage. My vote (if I were to get one) would be a simple brat with a flat seat. Another member here posted about using a few layers of a yoga mat that was subsequently upholstered, to produce a very comfortable, yet thin seat.

I love the Comstars.

Well i bought it! I plan to start by getting a flat seat put on it, Hoping i can find one that will fit properly. I do have to saw off the part underneath the seat that secures the stock seat, it sticks up a good couple of inches.

I will post pictures once i am home.
