Skyteam

For those of us who remember, Skyteam was the manufacturer for United Motors dirt bikes and enduros several years back. At the time, they were pretty much top of the heap as far Chinese bikes go, until Qlink brought over the Qingqi bikes.

I didn't realize it, but Skyteam is the OEM for Pitster Pro's retro street lineup of bikes. Furthermore, Skyteam sells the same bikes under their own brand name, too. They now have a US subsidiary or distributor in the Los Angeles area. They are about to introduce a little 125 retro street bike that will be kind of/sort of competition to Cleveland Cycle Werks Misfit (but with only a 125, more of competition to SYM's retro 150cc bikehttp://alliancepowersports.com/models/Wolf.html)

Anyway, I am trying to convince Skyteam to bring their enduro back to the US (they are 223cc vs. the old 200cc) http://www.skyteam.cn/pro-sec.asp as well as their very intriguing V-Raptor.

Here is the US site: http://www.skyteamusa.com/ and their 'contact' page http://www.skyteamusa.com/Contact.html If you guys could write to them and ask them to bring their enduro/motard and V-Raptor, perhaps they can see them as viable additions to their lineup? Thanks in advance!

OK, I see that no one responded, but I did get a reply from Skyteam USA who simply said they are not planning to import either the V-Raptor or ST 250 at this time. Please, write to Skyteam and simply ask them to bring in these bikes--let them know the bikes are worth putting money out to get through EPA testing.

I would, but they won't listen to a Canadian.

Isn't that the VanVan clone? Those are cool.

Yes, those are clones of the VanVan according to MJH on this mychinamoto thread:

I know this is probably a late post, but the classic 125 is available under the Pitster Pro brand here in Canada.

Also, there are discussions underway to distribute more of their products in Canada - they are EPA approved and are easy to DOT approve for the road and have a great following in Europe. Skyteam makes good products. The Classic 125 is a cute bike that gets a lot of looks! I have 1 and will be doing videos of it for Pitster Pro Canada this spring.

I would love to see the V-Raptor here, it looks like a truly capable dual sport/trail riding machine. I don't really know anything about Skyteams other D/S bike, I have to read up on that one.
