counter shaft seal?

would throwing the chanin possibly cause the cs seal to go? I threw the chain tonight, and now I am leaking oil pretty bad.... long story short I limped home 25 mi thanks to a kind amish gent who happened to have a spare master link... but now I have a rear tire, as well as chain covered in oil... I guess its either a cracked block or cs seal? gonna pull the cs sprocket tomorrow and see what I can see.... hope its nothing real major... would be a bummer...

also anyone know where I can get the cs seal for a 163fml??? I can't find it....
