Kato hit the nail on the head... Cheap wheels... 17s would likely have run 2-3x as much for decent straightrims...however theres a trade off... Tire selection for road tires is limited to scooter tires for the most part for a 16" rim...

Well got time to play around today...

Started with this...

And finished the day with this...

Still need to make precision spacers and find appropriate bearings for the front end but with just a few washers as spacers and one spacer from the stock ninja stuff i had, its pretty well set...

Still need to figure out the rear brake mount, and a few other little things...

I think the scooter tires will be up to the task on a 200cc china bike.

The white wheels look good with the blue. Like a yamaha.

I was originally going to powdercoat them gold/magnesium but the white looks so good im not gonna worry about it...LOL This size scooter tires are usually found on the 4-500cc bigger scooters, and some people use these tires on thier cruisers too....they are a 4ply tire, rated for 112 mph sustained...

It's a good look. Any Photoshop stars around here interested in colouring the rims gold? How about black?

Oh as a side note, you dont really think about some things until its happened... The stand over on this bike is now similar to my ke100.... I think over all the switch from 21/18 to 16/16 combo lowered the bike a good 5-6"... May be a viable option for any shorter riders... Oddly enough, the kickstand needed no modifications....its just that short...LOL

Looks good . Great progress in a day . I got away with the stock kick stand . Later I came across another and cut out about an inch ,could have taken more off it. It has enough lean now that I don't worry it will fall over
