The RK 108 link O ring chain does fit with the JT 14 tooth front sprocket, but you have to run the chain adjusters (bolts) all the way forward and slide the axle all the way forward. Even still it is a tight fit. But no worries it left plenty of room for adjustment. And after one block down the street the chain settled in nicely and I was able to obtain the correct adjustment. And the 14 tooth front sprocket took my rpm of 6,000 at 55 mph to right around 5,500. I'll take it. The 14 tooth also doesn't seem affects off road capability that much either. So a good investment I think. I have been riding the bike almost every day back and forth to work, 25 miles one way. And she is averaging 78 MPG with my big butt on it LOL.

Awesome! Thanks for posting the update. I need to take my KPX out. She been sitting in the shed for a couple of weeks because I've been using the Vulcan S to commute back and forth from work.

I've had several request to make a video on how to remove the seat. It's easy but not obvious. It took me a while to figure it out.

Good vid. I don't remove the rear luggage rack 6mm screws, just loosen 'em so I can rotate the rack upwards at the front. Did the same thing as you did with the upper screw on the black plastic piece (one on each side) that makes you have to remove the seat in the first place.

Motocheez KPX 250 Review

Best comprehensive review of the KPX I've seen so far, but not sure how he's getting a "5 year 11,185 mile warranty". I also see TXPowersports is charging extra for a parts and engine warranty that is less time than the bike already comes with!

Getting Spare Parts

Hey guys, newcomer to the forum.

How does a person go about getting spare parts for this bike?

Do you just call the dealer and hope they can get some ordered for you?

Anyone have any experience with needing a replacement part and getting it delivered?

My concern about getting this bike is not being able to keep it on the road (particularly after the warranty period) with various possible wear items (like say, a stator) going out at some point and needing a replacement. I'm okay with a little DIY, but I'm not that mechanically savvy

It seems to me there's a lot more readily available parts for something like the hawk, so maybe if I have this concern I should get one of those bikes instead?

Contact the dealer or American Lifan direct. Parts are available.

Thank you for teaching me how to mount my bike! Before I put the seat bag on the back, it wasn't really an issue to throw my leg over. Sure, I have to stretch for five minutes before-hand, but not really an issue. As soon as I put that bag on, things got interesting. I've been throwing a front kick at the seat, barely clearing it, getting my ankle over the seat and throwing myself sideways. No good for old fat guy with scoliosis.

I was just outside, in my slippers, and decided to try your mounting method. Genius!

LOL, Yeah, the KPX is so much taller than my other bikes. The first time I tried to mount it I was like I need to figure out a way to get on this bike. Not young as i use to be and can't do the round house kicks anymore. lol

I ordered a tailbag for mine the other day when they had a sale on Amazon, it came in yesterday, and I mounted it, and it definitely makes the bike harder to swing a leg over. I flip the kickstand up, and tilt the bike towards me when I get on, or off of the bike. I will try that method of standing on the peg.

I've had a HarborFreight 3800 weatherproof box mounted on my rear rack for the last year and its worked great. About $50 for the case on sale and stainless steel mounting hardware. I added some webbing loops so I'm able to strap things on top if needed.

KPX250 suspension?

What is the KPX250 suspension travel (front & rear) ? ... approximately?

What alternative KPX250 suspension damping adjustment options (front & rear) exist? ... vendors?
