The assembly of my hawk can begin now!
After fighting a while with the freight forwarder company, I just decided to go up there by myself and pick it up. I will make sure to keep you guys updated throughout this thread with pictures.

Fish, it's not very Christian of me, but I covet your truck.
Looking forward to bike assembly pics!

So far I wasn't able to assemble the bike yet, due to the fact that my college classes and side job take over most of my day. However, the build will start by saturday and pictures will most likely follow that evening as well. I also received my jets and carburetor today in the mail, and also i bought the 15w-40 synthetic oil. Sports Rider was nice enough to provide me with the instructions, as well as i was planning on buying tomorrow lots of lock tight.

The vehicle is a custom 97 dodge ram 1500 4x4, it includes mods worth +3000$ or more. Here is a quick summary: - body lift kit 3inch - suspension lift kit 2.5 inch - 18 inch chrome rims by ultra. - 30's A/T tires. - true dual exhaust with 4 inch exhaust tips (gutted cat, in which it basically is just a straight pipe). - peacesetter short headers (black edition). - bull bar by weston. - custom vinyl decors. - real tree back window film. - aftermarket front and rear lights. - bed liner by rhino. - original lundflare rivet style. - bully steps. - black aftermarket grill. - 2x front bull bar led outdoor light blocks. - camo texture seat covers. - camo texture dash board cover. - aftermarket boss radio head unit (Bluetooth, display...) - 2x 500 watt boss speakers. - 1x JBL 1000 watt subwoofer 15 inch. - 1x Boss amplifier dual terminal 1200 watt. - red leds that are located under the seat areas. - aftermarket black dodge ram logo cab light cover. .... and the list goes on, but the main purpose of this thread is to walk you guys throughout my assembly process of the hawk bike, and not on how my truck's project is progressing. |

I finished my build today and was quite impressed on how easy it was to put it together. However, I believe that many modifications have to be done still in order to gain the top speed that i wished for. The only negative thing i noticed so far, was that the carburetor seemed not to catch on fast enough. But that is not a problem, mainly because I have mikuni already here and i'm literally just waiting for the two jets to arrive this week. I did switch out the oil that was in there, as well as i am hopping to install a 17T front sprocket tomorrow and some other small modifications. The bike does not seem to be low quality investment, but i do suppose that many more parts have to be added for it to achieve a average speed on the road.
My phone ran out of battery when putting the bike together. However, I will most likely upload pictures tomorrow of the bike itself and its current condition. |

Mine was not very "fast" either. the sprockets have it geared so tall I did nothing but shift all the time. my sprockets are in transit. |

I made sure to take a picture today. However, none of the modifications are currently installed, in which case it could be said that its 100% stock still. But no worries, I will have all of them installed by Tuesday, as well as more pictures will follow.

You should try to get some baseline 'stock' data before any of the mods, IMO. Granted, you are well within break-in period, so no pushing it, but it would be interesting to read the differences between stock and not.
