ecu malfuntion

hi folks, i have a problem with my hawk dlx .the decel fuel cutoff is not working and it idles fast for a time after stoping the bike. this started happening after one long full throttle run. can anyone suggest where to look.i would like to know if the problem is in the ecu or a separate switch in the throttle body ?

Oh boy. EFI is great until it isn't. 1 out of 100, 1000. I just don't want to be the one

Carburetor. A carburetor can be cleaned, rejet, adjusted, replaced for under $50

Just sayin'

Did you try the basics like completely removing the battery lead from the terminal overnight? Did you ensure the TPS is working properly?

Before the computer, I'd suspect the TPS and the connections from the TPS to the ECU. Especially since the problem happened after a lot of WOT.

Can you observe the TPS rotating properly through the whole range of motion up and then back down as the throttle opens and closes?
