My Lifan 163Fml engine has a bad gear box so I picked up a Giovani 250cc and will be doing an engine swap as soon as my gasket kits arrive as I need to swap the case in order to make everything work as it should speedo ect

I think it is 230cc
the 200cc engine will be going into the Gio frame for my wife may give a Pink and White paint job

I think I am going to have issues finding replacement side plastics for this bike hoping some folks on this forum know where to look

I have the same bike sitting in my shop, and it doesn't have side plastics, either. It look ok without them, so focus on painting the fenders and whatever other plastic you have. You can probably find pink grips as well.

Fun project. Almost a China Riders flashback! We had a member put a 400 Honda in his Lifan GY. Probably the worlds fastest Lifan GY at the time.
Good luck with the project and keep us posted with lots of pics!

Will do shouldnt be to difficult as both engines are basically the same bore size is only different I think the 230cc engine is pushrod though and the Lifan engine may be the OHC

Give them a good scrub with a toothbrush and an compressed air nozzle, will look like new.

They both look pushrod to me. "Dem's got belly buttons!"
They should swap easily.

Indeed, two belly buttons, and no cam chain tensioners.

https://world.taobao.com/item/439151...?fromSite=main

as a disclaimer, this set may or may not work depending on which gas tank you have on your bike... there were two main styles....

The gio should be a zongshen engine ,never seen a gio without one ,I wonder if your lifan has a zongshen in it for some reason ,or if they are both making virtually identical engines .
