New Templar X from St. Louis

Just saying hi from Missouri.

Not new to bikes but new to dirt bikes. Just finished assembling my Templar X and riding around the neighborhood.

Well, the bike didn't come with a chain guard and the tires are what was on it.

This isn't a daily driver. I had considered tires more road friendly, but these seemed to be OK for how I plan on using it.

I am open to things to watch for. Again, new to dirt bikes.

Great looking bike!

I love that orange/black combo. And I am more into off road riding so it is equipped perfect for me. But it also has battery, horn, turn signals, brake light, and everything needed for street legal (except possible DOT approved tires).

I am on the other side of the State (KC). I would be curious what you face at motor vehicle license office. You will be able to apply for title, of course, using the cert. of origin and bill of sale (and proof of personal property taxes paid for two years!). But I am wondering if it might be possible to find a way to plate it, and whether they ask for proof of insurance if they refuse to plate it.

Thanks guys,

We will see what happens when the paperwork gets here. Not sure how it will work yet either.

So far I am pretty impressed with the bike. Got to figure out the gearing (13/49) stock.

Welcome from Kentucky.....DMV wouldn't license mine here, had a law change here the first of this year that stops it......6 months ago I could have licensed it here :( Best of luck on yours!

Well the MCO came in today and it looks promising.

Make: ZUMA
Body Type: MOTORCYCLE
Series or Model: X7-CB250F

Since it doesn't say anything about Off-Road or dirt bike and has a VIN, I feel pretty confident with a safety inspection it will be able to be licensed.

Anyone experience anything different?

Thanks!

AWESOME. Good luck.

But you do NOT need a safety inspection for a new bike. In fact. I just re-registered my Storm after a one year registration and it did not need an inspection "unless it has over 150k miles" (MO state law).
All you need is proof of insurance (Geico will insure for $100, liability), your last two years property tax receipts, the MCO and a bill of sale (and about $225 for tax and registration, plate fee.

Shocking quick shipping. I ordered it Wednesday, email confirmation Thursday morning, shipped Friday, and the bike is at the R+L Carriers depot SAME DAY (6-7hr transit). I will offer to pick it up on Tuesday in the back of the truck, because would rather not deal with moving it from the street to the garage.

I could have this bike in less than a week from ordering

I am still wondering about color. 1st choice orange, second black, but frankly, I like the red and the blue is nice too. If I get the orange, it will probably be pure chance since there were almost none left on Thursday! Maybe I got the last one!

I want MCO like the one YOU got Wojo !!
