I prefer the CB. Just like a Chevy 350, I can still work on them. My buddy's new Honda 450 was a nightmare. It was like trying to wrench on a new Corvette. Not my cup of tea....and pete, this TT250, though still basically a Hondoid, is BY FAR the best one I've wrenched on. It's a nice, solidly built bike. No qualms here....but this thread is getting sideways. Here's my my mods.

Like most things that come out of China it seems like a few extra minutes of design and assembly time and a few pennies here & there would make the products MUCH better, but those minutes and pennies show up on the price tag. Sometimes the shortcomings lead to disastrous events, and I've dealt with a few, but usually just less than stellar performance. Lets not forget that even some of the big 4 bikes are flawed. Like the mighty Hyabusa that knocked my beloved XX down from being the speed champion, the Busa also enjoyed some little things like catching fire, falling off the kickstand, seats breaking off,.... Then there's the longer list of screw-ups from the higher priced American and Italian 2 wheeled offerings. If my Ducati had been as flawed as some of the ones I read about I'da been pissed, but lovers of them, like some of the CB lovers, will just fix the flaws. To me, starting out with an inexpensive CB justifies spending a little time & money making it better. So far I haven't read of any major failures of a TT250.

It's for replacing the inner rear fender when you do the air box delete.

If I could've found any used Japanese Dual Sport in my area that wasn't hammered to death I would've bought it because in all honesty I was in the market for a DR 650, XR 650L or DRZ and I simply couldn't find one. So after doing some research I ended up getting my TT. I've swapped out the headlight for a fan cooled LED, swapped the brake/tail light for an 1157 LED replacement opened up the exhaust and intake and moved the needle up one notch and changed to a 115 main jet. I also switched the rear sprocket to a JTR269.45 and installed a heavy duty 428 chain. I'm also.running Shinko 244 tires since I've already burned through the stock ones. It's not the perfect bike but it has worked as a great little commuter for the last 10K miles so I guess I'll keep it until I can afford that KTM 690 Enduro R that's in the showroom down the street.

Question How about seats replacement for TT250

I find most of the smaller displacement dual sport bikes have very narrow and hard saddles. I have not seen a CSC TT250 in person and I am wondering about the width and firmness of it's seat. I like bike saddles that are least as wide as my sits bones.
Does anyone know the width of the stock TT250 saddle?
How about CSC's offerings in replacement seats?
Thanks

I don't know about the width but it is among the most comfortable saddles that I've ride on. It much more comfortable than the 250 Ninja that I used to have. On that bike about 45 minutes was my limit. On the TT I can tolerate it for longer periods and my comfort level has more to do with my lingering back issues than the comfort of the seat.

Until I started riding the TT250 on my commute, I had no idea how uncomfortable the Ninja 300 is. The seat is nice and the leg position is very relaxed.

X2. It really is amazing how comfortable it is, especially considering it's only a 55.00 seat.

I bought a variety of main sizes from jets-r-us, I haven't opened up the carb yet but I am HOPING they are correct, I remember researching before I bought them but that was months ago haha. Hope to be doing all my exhaust/carb mods this weekend and next week. Probably going to try the 112 first and raise the needle 1 notch and then go from there. Stock jet is 108 if I recall seeing someones post correctly.

*Denso Iridium Spark Plug (IX24B 5376)
*Removed Orange Stickers
*Hand Guards
*Opt7 LED Headlight Bulb
*Sylvania Zevo Mini LED Bulb for Cluster

That's all I have for now, but I plan on swapping out the carb and getting a new durable drive chain.
What is the recommended carburetor (brand & model number) to replace the stock unit? How about recommended jet sizes for near sea level elevation?

Thanks

Just to confirm I installed the main jets I posted above in the stock carb tonight, can confirm that they DO fit. Stock jet is 108 I went with 112 and raised the needle 1 notch. Hopefully I wont have to do much tuning once I get everything back together
