I will need a new Avatar...

I traded in the Corvette.

Bless it's heart it was killing my back, and I'm too old to not have hardly any storage space. The feminine unit I like to travel with need more space than a shoebox worth of stuff. I also have hit point where creature comforts like heated seats etc. are a blessing.

But I got something MUCH faster...

4 doors, coupe styling, over 500 horsepower, and AWD...

Mercedes CLS. Twin turbo V8 and every technological doodad know to man. Up to and including, and I exaggrate not, an airconditioned glove box.

It's a 2012 with 50,000 miles but new condition. Thank GOD for depreciation. I stole the somebeech.

AH! MBZ was my second choice but with how much you like the "sporty", more exotic stuff, I jumped on the Porsche as a first guess...and yes, both of those Porsches are ugly in my eyes. Making a 4 door 911 body is like what Ford did to the T-Bird.

Good analogy.

The base engine (300HP VW based V6's) in the Panamera and Cayenne are very unimpressive. That is not a lot of power to move a car that weighs as much as an oil rig. Even from behind the wheel they are ugly, and it's unfair to make other look at them.

Also, the nearest dealer if I needed service is 120 miles away.

There is a 3 foot snowdrift blocking the car in the garage. Thank God for my 25 year old Ford Ranger 4X4...

I'll find a stock photo off the web and post it. There is one same year same color...

Later, say in July when the snow starts to melt, I'll get some actual pics LOL.

FastDoc. I have a problem with most vehicles I see. I either like the way one end looks best one way or the other I will like the ass end but the front falls short. I know, call me crazy. In this case , for the avatar, use the front. Just my strange opinion.

Congratulations ! ! !

Nice, Doc. I'm not too familiar with MBs' 4matic AWD but I image it's similar to Audis' Quattro. You are going to love it. And, at this time of the year, the heated seats.

Bigger question Doc....you keeping the plate? I don't think it would matter if you put it on a Yugo.... It's the plate that makes the avatar!

I drove a vette for 9 years doc. I felt like I had sold a member of the family.
Enjoy the new Teutonic uber car.

Organic vehicle protection. It's a little too shitty out for such a nice car so it got more shitty to make sure you didn't expose it.

Good that you can still enjoy the finer things in life, those little rangers are kinda sweet.

Edit: and the MB is pretty ok too.
Actually I'd be sleeping with it, tenderly caressing the engine every chance, sliding up under it on a creeper to gaze, .....awesome car and CONGRATS!
