I have them and decided against putting them on at the moment. There are 2 holes that are covered by the chrome cap. If I put a nut and bolt in the inboard hole, I'm afraid it would knock the bark off a knuckle. Guess a fender washer would work just as well and skip the extra hole.

I like that. I kinda wanted yellow in memory of my old Jeep.

I bet that would look really sweet with the flames gone and the white sides painted Yellow....

I painted my white plastic black and WOW what a difference....
I will always have a thing for the Yellow though.

Good point.

Bike looks great cal...but you've got your mirrors on the wrong sides of the handlebars.

A big yellow bird. Hmm, has a familiar ring.

May go for one myself, if can ever get the garage mess straightened out.

What's the riding experience been like so far??

Yup...more displacement for less money in a package that I really like the looks of...seems like a no brainer.

Yep, I screwed up when I put on the mirrors. Think I stuck them on like I saw in the pics. Noticed when I went on my first real ride that they would not work this way. Then I realised they are on backwards. Good thing I used the blue locktight and not the red!

I agree about the cheesy flames and graphics. I wish they had not clear coted them on. I think I would like to do like you did on your bike and paint them yellow after removing the flames. Let us know hoh the paint holds up. Might be worth it to order a couple of extra panels to work on. If you noticed, I already got rid of the Hi Bird logo on the seat using your technique.
