Race Timer - Clocking your bikes performance

Just sharing an app for when bikes get brokenin and you want to test some timer results. If we use common tools we have similar comparable data for comparing.

Set it and forget it. Don’t need to look at phone and impact ride safety. Just ride and look at results after. Good reviews on Apple phones, don’t have an Android phone this time around to test the Android version.

Get a few timer runs in and compare each run based on values such as:
  • Top speed recorded via GPS rather than bike dash display.
  • 0-60 timer or 0 to some other set number timer.
  • 1/4 mile timer or 1/8th, 60 feet or some other distance.

I’m out on the phone at the moment so I don’t have resize tools on my computer handy. This is just one of my slow and steady break in rides. 30 MPH residential streets. I had one long straight stretch to take it up to 38 on the bike dash indicator. So I can tell my dash is off a decent amount already. No serious speed testing done here, I am just bringing it leasurely up to speed then a little over to see where the bike dash thinks the bike speed is versus what the gps results are saying. 3 MPH faster than actual at this speed range. The 2 mph is me just waking up and down the sidewalk while working the phone buttons to get a screenshot.
