I am getting a 2018 RX-3 (price was right) this coming week.
Is the un-crating process still the same as these 3+ year old pictures?
Any best practices for un-crating from recent buyers?

Thanks in advance!

No secret to un-boxing. I used a razor to cut the cardboard and needed a claw hammer to pull out the staples. If you are careful you can save the straps for use later. Installing the windscreen is a bit of a PITA, the nuts for the lower screws are a challenge. I ended up cutting away part of the plastic 'ears' so I have better access to those nuts. You will see what I mean when you install the windscreen.

For some reason I don't recall wood under the box--mine came with a steel frame instead. If memory serves, steel straps had to be cut to lift off the cardboard box, then the steel frame had to be unbolted. I don't recall mine being so thoroughly assembled, either, so maybe the system shown here is the newer, easier to unpack version. Really, not much to it either way. Just be sure to tighten and Loctite everything and double check all the fluids before starting it up. I went ahead and changed the oil to a dino motorcycle type for break in--you never know what comes in anything these days.

Thanks @pyoungbl and @sqwert!
I ordered some Loctite per the advice given here.
I did find a CSC video that suggests removing the headlight in order to install the windscreen, and another titled "RX3 Fasteners to Focus On", hopefully those will help as well.

I recently removed and reinstalled the windscreen. Minor annoyance, but not that terrible. I used an angled box end wrench to hold and position the nuts. They are shouldered, so they stay in the wrench. You need the type that has an angle to the head, not a flat wrench.
