Best Bike Experience for the Buck

I was trying to decide the best location for this topic. I hope this was the best choice.

A little about me:
I'm not new to Chinese ATVs. I was a auto tech for about ten years & even tho I've been out of a shop for 10+ years I'm still pretty comfortable with most of the needs of a vehicle today. I also have some experience with small engines both new & old. I have a little 90cc clone that has a few years on it but hasn't been used much.

What I'm looking for:
I'd like to get a 125cc 4 wheeler for the kids & something 250cc or bigger for the wife & I. Both of them I'd like to get in a utility model.

Where is the best place to look for these that I'll get the best price & be happy with customer service through delivery. I'm not looking for parts or warranty service. I will take care of those myself.

I've purchased a Tao Tao Rhino from Superior Power Sports...with mixed reviews.
The quad got to me when promised, as was the paperwork, but there was no after sale service on a warranty issue.

That said, most of the Big Box Warehouses will probably leave you high and dry on this kind of stuff. Pay with a CC for backup.

I've found the Tao Tao quads to be ok. More "Old World China Bike" than probably some others but my Rhino hasn't given me any problems after I dialed it in.

Here are two places I keep in "my favorites" just to bounce through once in a while because they have a good California section. I'm sure others will come up with some more.

Just keep in mind that getting a good China bike/quad is all in the setup.

Thanks 2LZ I'll check them out. I'd rather put it together from a box myself. It's easier to nut & bolt that way. If there already together it's easy to be lazy & not do the nut & bolt check they should all have. Also I'd probably skip the loctite & antiseaze needed.

Some Assembly Required. You'll have plenty of opportunity to get to everything, check for tightness, locktite and adjust.

I think I remember that thread. You had to leave the Grizzly home when you went with friends & left their mouth watering over the cheap bikes?

One thing I've noticed is that bolts seem to be getting better but they still use junky washers most of the time. However most of the time a junk washer will do just fine but for those other times I'll also have a chance to replace those.

That hardware looks like it came with good bolts. How's the rubber holding up. I've noticed that is another place that is sometimes liking. Thanks for the picture.

Always Always Always pay for your China bikes with a credit card. A charge back can sometimes be your only recourse if you get a non cooperating dealer.

Oh yah! When the snow's falling, we use wood on the weekends but during the work week, I have no need to feed a wood stove around the clock. Pellets ROCK! Bring 5 bags inside and I'm good for a week or better.

I regret taking my wood burner out & converting the chimney for the pallet burner. Not that I don't like it but when I did it I wasn't able to get wood in that year. I am in better health now plus I have a sawmill now so I'm really kicking myself.
