Zong on the beach
Less than 500m from the beach. It's accessible by 4wd as well. This section was good not too soft. Luckily there was rocks so i could take this pic. Unfortunately it was high tide so couldn't go any further, sand was too soft. Even turning around was a bit of struggle. But riding on the beach is great fun. Manninig river and on your right is Pacific Ocean. A lot of sand dune erosion. On the other side is Harrington town. Gigantic fig tree they love water. Sunset and Manning river. Waited a big longer to get more dark, wanted to see conjunction of 3 planets. Venus in the middle with Jupiter and Mercury. If you are interested in this sort of thing you can get free software called stellarium and check the planetary movement across the sky for your location.

Great photos. Beautiful deserted beach. Was this early morning or is it a remote area?

Nice shots; particularly the Manning river at sunset. Thanks for the pics.
My Roketa (which has the same forks as your Zong) was ridden by drunken seniors on the beaches of Mexico, and the forks are ruined. The anodized portion is terribly corroded, and the chrome finish is rusted. Thought you might benefit from that info.

How beautiful!!!!!
Thank you for the pics! Even firm sand can be tough on street tires, good riding! I'd have gone WILD if I had my YZ on that beach, but I wonder how those pretty beach rocks would have affected it.

Thank you irishbiker125. Yes it was in the morning, also it's winter time so not many tourists. During summer it's more busy. But I saw few fishermen.
Thank you Weldangrind. My mirrors have started corroding already and some other parts there is light corrosion. I always try washing my bike when I go on the beach. Thank you FastDoc you are welcome. Next time I'll check for low tide, so i can go the whole length. There is another beach that I want to visit. Probably 10km (6 miles) in length should be lots of fun. Yes the rocks could affect the handling but how much that would be interesting to see. They actually helped me. Not sure how soft are those paddles on your tyre. You would have a blast on your YZ I am sure.

The paddles are pretty tough. Mine are about 1/4 to 1/3 worn now from new. I think I've operated the paddle tire about 30 hours in the sand so far. I hope to add to that number tomorrow :-)

If I used it only on the sand it would last a very, very long time but any long ride in the desert may be 90% sand but also some rocks, sagebrush, cheatgrass, dirt, gravel, etc. It's that 10% that eats the tires.

Thank you Spud. Wasn't aware that you guys commented, didn't get email notification.
You are welcome Zingshoen. It's really fantastic software. Would love to see ride report from your location when you have more time. Do you ride to work on your Zong? If nothing else you can take few pics of your Zong.

You probably need to go into your user control panel and set the notifications options.
