Up in N. Minnesnowta working on yet another Beaufort fcuk up.
Lost any respect for the only guy on the engineering staff I liked. So much fun to open the kit I’m supposed to install has all the wrong hydraulic fittings. Obviously, he never physically looked at the machine to see what was needed. Nearest hydraulic shop is two and a half hours away.

I’ve been on a tear.

Nada. I even volunteered myself to be one of the first to be cut to Harold. I was told, NO.

I too changed jobs just this month. Worked my last job for many years. We can be thankful that we have been afforded the opportunity to do so with the thriving economy.

At 57 years old, I was a bit apprehensive.

Our regulatory guy got cut loose yesterday after 32 years of service. I think he's about 60, so I suspect he's had enough anyway. I hope they gave him a decent golden handshake.

Heading back to Minnesnowta on Monday. More problems with the ‘New and Improved’ hydraulic system that was forced down our throats. This is the third week out of four that I have had to dick with problems with this system. Even Harold, who is wowed by ‘new and shiny’, asked me about ripping out this new system and putting the old one back in. Too bad the Einsteins’ at Beaufort trashed the old system. A-holes. On the plus side, gets me out of doing overnight training classes in Dallas next week.

There were meetings with big shots this week but I have heard nothing.

Hehe. I don’t think Harold realized that those classes he volunteered to do in my place are from 10pm to 6am. Twice.

Got word on a couple of cuts, both based in Europe but responsible for what happens in Beaufort. Neither is a heart breaker in my book. I also got word that the big shots that were in Beaufort were very disappointed in what they saw.

I was on a conference call with my boss, a rep from the company that makes the item than I am having a problem with, our COO, our EE and our JERK. I got tired of being talked down to by JERK and let go with both barrels on him, ending with,"Geoffrey, just shut the fuck up. Do not say another word." He started to say something else and I told I would be in Beaufort in a few weeks and he should be on vacation then.


I had another conference call with just Harold and our COO a few hours later. Harold told me that Geoffrey wanted me fired for talking to him the way I did but not to worry. The COO rounded on Geoffrey by telling him the Jason and I have spent the last two years chasing his screw ups around the country and he may not be long for his position.
